The story
Set into the cliffs of a secluded bay, The Revery reads as architecture shaped by its site rather than dropped onto it. The hotel's site describes a retreat built between Elafonisi and the shores of Kedrodasos, Falasarna and Balos, with 24 suites spread across an 11-acre stretch of coast and direct frontage onto a private beach.
Rooms range from Cliffside and Seafront Tented Pavilions, each with a hydrotherapy mini-pool, up through the Horizon Suite, Signature Suite and a Two Bedroom Villa; some carry private heated pools. The wellness side runs deep — two pools including an infinity pool, a spa with sauna, steam room, Turkish bath, hot tub and massage rooms. The single on-site restaurant serves from breakfast through cocktail hour, with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options.
The setting is genuinely remote: Chania International Airport is 82 km (51 mi) away, Elafonisi Beach 14 km (8.7 mi), and the centre of Livadia sits 800 m (2,600 ft) off. A member of The Leading Hotels of the World, it opens in summer 2026. A quiet coastal base for travellers who want the shoreline to themselves.
