What guests say

  • Guests repeatedly praise the location — central and close to the Archaeological Museum and old town, yet on a quiet street away from the noise.
  • Many reviewers single out the friendly, helpful staff, mentioning host Giannis going out of his way with coffee, sweets and arranging taxis.
  • Several guests describe the rooms as clean, modern and thoughtfully decorated, calling out design touches like the vaulted ceilings and the patio views.

The recurring gripe: Poor soundproofing — doors, footsteps and noise from nearby rooms are easily heard.

The story

A characteristic town house, fully renovated in 2020, holds six rooms and suites the hotel ties to the painter Giorgio de Chirico. According to the hotel's own account, this is a family-run place built around artistic detail, and the design shows in vaulted ceilings and an inner patio garden that most rooms look onto. At its centre sits a small courtyard the hotel describes as Miami-inspired, dressed in bright furniture and potted palms.

Rooms run from a Standard Double to a Suite with Garden View, with Deluxe options offering either a balcony or a terrace. Each carries a coffee machine, electric kettle and fridge; the house accommodates up to four guests, and WiFi is rated a clean 10.0. No breakfast is served, and there is no restaurant on site.

The address is central without being loud. The Venetian Harbour lies 700 m off and the port a ten-minute walk; the Morosini Fountain, Loggia and Venetian Walls all sit within a kilometre. A taxi station is two minutes away, and buses to the airport, 4.4 km (2.7 mi) out, run every ten minutes. Knossos is 6.1 km (3.8 mi) from the door. Strong for culture-minded travellers who want to walk everywhere.
