The story
Everything here is organised around water. Every room and suite has its own private pool, from the Breeze Deluxe Double to the Signature Suites, some of which pair the pool with a private sauna or hammam. The design is modern and clean-lined, with a beach-club feel carried by the outdoor pool and swim-up rooms in the Breeze X category.
Two restaurants cover the plate: a main Mediterranean and international dining room with a breakfast buffet and a la carte lunch and dinner, and a Cretan restaurant working through traditional and modern Greek cooking. Both carry vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options. The spa runs sauna, steam room and hammam, a fitness centre, yoga classes and a tennis court, with massages from deep-tissue to couples' treatments.
The location is unusually practical: Heraklion International Airport lies 1.9 km (1.2 mi), roughly a ten-minute drive, and Karteros Beach is a short walk of 110-240 m (350-800 ft). The Palace of Knossos is 11 km (6.8 mi) inland. A restrained, water-focused resort that leans on its rooms and its staff.
