The story

The name comes from 'Erotokritos', Vitsentzos Kornaros's verse romance, and the hotel says its design follows Crete's rugged terrain and rocky coastline rather than fighting it. That intent shows in the scale of the water: five outdoor pools, three of them freshwater with sections for children, plus swim-up options in selected Deluxe rooms and a kids' pool of their own.

Rooms run from Deluxe through Junior, One-Bedroom and Two-Bedroom Suites, some with sea views over the Aegean. Dining is spread across five kitchens — DOMENŪ for all-day Greek, VIÓLA for Italian at lunch and dinner, the dinner-only ANTHÉMA and CARŪMA, and SMÍGO for Greek plates midday and evening. The spa adds sauna, steam room, massage, a fitness centre with classes and yoga.

Agios Andreas Beach is a 76 m (250 ft) walk; Mochlos centre lies 1.3 km (0.8 mi) away and Mochlos Beach 1.9 km (1.2 mi). Sitia airport is the closest at 26 km (16 mi), Heraklion 92 km (57 mi), with an airport shuttle available. As a first-season property, early guests trade the certainty of a settled operation for a fresh, well-equipped beachfront address.
