The story

Part of Accor's MGallery collection, the resort gathers 137 rooms and suites along the Agios Nikolaos shore, with water as the organising idea. Most rooms and suites carry a private plunge pool, according to the hotel, and two outdoor pools anchor the layout: the Thea Pool at ground level and the Éther Rooftop Bar Pool, which reaches toward the sea over Mirabello Bay.

Dining splits between two rooms. Mira serves Greek and Mediterranean plates across breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner in a modern setting, with vegetarian options throughout. Upstairs, Éther pairs sushi with a cocktail hour and the same wide horizon. Beyond the pools, the wellness side runs to massage, a fitness room, yoga classes, and snorkelling and diving; the spa packages are charged separately.

The location earns a 9.5 from guests, and the reasons are practical: Ammoudi Beach and the Archaeological Museum are within a short walk, and a golf course lies within 3 km (1.9 mi). Heraklion International Airport is 58 km (36 mi) away, with airport shuttles, valet parking and both bike and car hire on hand. A composed, grown-up base right on the water.
