The story
Water is the resort's structuring element. A lagoon-style pool meanders the full length of the property, crossed by narrow bridges, with sunken seating areas and hammocks set over the surface; a number of rooms give onto it directly. In all there are 12 pools — indoor, outdoor, heated and a pool bar — across the 225-room resort, which opened in October 2016. The hotel's site describes the design as a place for relaxation and recreation of the soul.
Dining spreads across several venues. Kimata is the main buffet restaurant for breakfast, half-board and all-inclusive meals; the à la carte rooms cover grill at La Parilla, international menus at Oceania, Asian cooking at Umami, Greek plates at Vegera and Mexican at Paraiso, with three bars carrying live evening music. The spa runs a hammam, steam room, sauna and hot tub, alongside a fitness centre with yoga, TRX and personal training, plus a tennis court and mini golf.
Heraklion International Airport sits about 16 km (10 mi) away, with an airport shuttle on offer; Hersonissos town centre is roughly 5.1 km (3.2 mi) off. The nearest beach is about 300 m (1,000 ft) away, with Aposelemis Beach around 670 m (2,200 ft) and Analipsi Beach near 900 m (2,950 ft). Free private parking with EV charging is on-site. A polished, adults-only base for a design-led Cretan stay.
